You know how they say “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.” Well guess what? Now is definitely the time to age your favorite pieces of furniture to make them look as good as…old!
So lets get on with it! For this incredibly simple DIY project you’ll need the following:
1. A pallet (to keep the dresser up of the ground. This is optional)
2.Better With Age Vintage Wood Paint
3. Chip brush
4.Sand paper
5. Liming wax
6. Wax brush
Once you’ve gathered all of your materials, you’ll need to sand the wood to give it that desired finish. It’s okay if the paint flakes off, in fact, that’s exactly what we want to happen!
Next, brush the Better With Age Wood Paint, one layer of this product should be plenty, but it is definitely up to you. It may not look like you have used enough when wet, but it will all come together when dried. Take your wax brush and completely cover the bottom of the bristles in wax, cover wood completely with wax. Be sure to let it full dry before using. Voila! You have an “old” and improved wooden dresser!
