Putting together class Valentines is time consuming, and it can be incredibly expensive! Especially if your kids are part of a large classroom (my second grader has 38 students in his class!) it can be a drain on your wallet. You can buy most of these items in bulk at the Dollar Store, so these may even be cheaper than a bag of candy! Here are some amazing dollar store Valentine’s Day gifts.
Dollar Store Valentine’s Day Gifts
You can get a bag of 20 glow sticks for a dollar! Aside from the printer ink you’ll need to print these out…these Valentines come in at only CENTS to make.
Your kid’s teacher may not appreciate this gift if you’re giving to an under 7 crowd…but these Dollar Store treats will “blow” anyone else away!
Everyone needs a new writing utensil! Pick up packs of pencils and sharpeners in the Dollar Store holiday section. Use twine to literally “tie” the whole thing together!
Classmates will have an insect collection perfect for “science experiments.” I want to catch a love bug!
Again, maybe not the best idea for young kids, but an adorable one regardless. These Valentines will put you back a bit more unless you buy the gum in bulk, here! Additionally, the Dollar Store occasionally has sales on bulk gum!
Search the Dollar Store for all things “stick” related. Try things like pencils, Pixie Sticks, Peppermint sticks, or even Glow Sticks. The options are endless.
I’m sure anyone will love to be told that they are ex”straw” special. I loved to drink out of crazy straws as a kid, and I’m sure these will be a big hit. They’re also easy to put together with a free printable.
The boys (or girls…) of the classroom might not love these…but I think they’re simply darling. This is another project equipped with a free printable, so you’ll only have to grab a package of wands at the Dollar Store.
Jordin Sparks can attest…love DOES feel like a battlefield…little boys and girls alike would love to receive an army man for Valentine’s Day!
Kids of all ages will love this fun and fashionable DIY project. For another fun twist…hand out photo booth props and have a photo shoot!
If you are dying to make these for yourself (or, rather, your kids) these links will provide you with all the instructions!
