Every year, my family and I take a memorable trip down the coast during the fall. We like to hit as many beach towns as possible on our travels down the coast. Here are our favorite beach towns to visit! Some in the United States, some across the pond and beyond!
10 Of The Best Beach Towns To Visit This Fall
Head out to this gorgeous island for a fall getaway that you will never forget. Relax by the pool, walk along the beach, or simply “take it all in.” You won’t be disappointed.
Okay, you’ve definitely caught me. I never actually been to Rhine Valley, but I have been dreaming of it constantly! Board a cruise ship for an experience that I hear you will never forget. The scenery is surely something that you’ll never forget, especially with all of the fall foliage!
We only spent a few days in Bora Bora on our last cruise, but I am already DYING to go back. Depending on the resort you choose, many have access to private beaches and personal swimming pools. There’s nothing better than having everything to yourself!
Hilton Head, South Carolina
Alison DiLaurentis may have had a shady getaway here in Pretty Little Liars, but that doesn’t mean that you have to! Fall temperatures lurk around the mid 70s to 80s, so you’re certain to have a day full of beach fun!
Saugatuck, Michigan
If you love picket fences, you absolutely need to put Saugatuck, Michigan on your list. Although they don’t have access to an ocean, the gorgeous beaches and pristine beach towns will make you question why you needed the ocean in the first place.
Laguna Beach, California
We’ve all seen the famed television show (whether we like to admit it, or not) and it’s universally accepted that EVERYONE should visit here once! Learn how to surf from the best surf instructors in the country, and check out the incredible art galleries in the area.
Bay St. Louis, New Oreleans
Rated one of Budgets “Coolest Small Towns In America” Bay St. Louis is full of small town charm. Make sure you take a walking tour of all the different 19th-century homes, they really are beautiful!
Point Pleasant, New Jersey
Visit Point Pleasant come September for a completely open boardwalk, and tons of walk-on amusement park rides! Not only do ride lines go down, but so do hotel room prices!
Port Townsend, Washington
Believe it or not, my husband and I were considering moving to this quaint Washington town in January of last year. Although we didn’t end up calling this place “home,” we are still in love with all things Port Townsend! Make sure you go fishing here; as you are seriously guaranteed to catch something!
Key West, Florida
Key West may seem like an odd place for a fall getaway, but you’d be surprised at how perfect is is for just that! Tour victorian homes, kayak, and visit strange art galleries for activities that are certain to please those of all tastes!
