Hippity hoppity Easter’s on it’s way! We’re only two weeks into February, but I’m looking forward to the end of March already! All of my fellow readers know how expensive it can get to purchase fresh, festive decor for all seasons. Well, if you’ve got a few rolls of washi tape, your Easter decor can be as easy as a “tear and stick.” Washi tape crafts are great when decorating for Easter!
Your brunch tablescape will be the cutest around with pastel balloons and paper plates. Add embellishments to your table with washi tape. It makes the balloons look like Easter eggs! Find everything you need at Michaels.
Your mantlepiece decor really says a lot about the style of your home! Make it say “Welcome Spring” with washi tape wall art. Different patterns of washi tape make these hangings an instant attention-grabber.
Make plastic eggs look a little more seasonal with patterned Washi tape. Once your eggs are brightened up, use hot glue to attach them to a wreath form for an easy porch decor project! Find a wreath form here.
I think it would be so much fun to turn this craft into a learning activity for kids! Tell your kids the story of Easter and why we celebrate it (if you haven’t already!). Even if they already know, a reminder could be a Easter family tradition! You’ll need craft sticks…and well..washi tape.
After you dye your Easter eggs ( use this tutorial from Sunlit Spaces that will get your eggs BRIGHT and vibrant!) amp your design up a bit with a washi tape pattern. Use different shapes and textures. Scissors will be your best friend for this craft, I like to use these ones from Michaels.
Have your kids help you with this project! On a large piece of paper, have kids tape a design. It can be as outlandish as they want! After the fun with tape ends, use an over paper stamp. Tie the stamps together for an Easter egg garland.
Remember when I mentioned how important mantlepiece decor was? How incredible would these look next to your Easter egg hangings? Use scrap wood and other craft supplies you can find around the house.
Don’t even think of tossing out your old glass jars (you can use this tutorial from Blah Blah Blahg to remove the labels!) Make them a part of your Easter decor with washi tape. They’d make a terrific vase for peonies or tulips!
This blogger makes things easy with a silouhette printable. Simply print out the lettering and decorate it with washi tape. String it together with colorful crafting twine.
One last fun craft for the kids! Bring the family together with a butterfly themed craft. Reuse your old popsicle sticks and your favorite rolls of Washi tape. Cardstock paper will make the craft so sturdy that you can keepsake it for years!
