Coastal Home Decor: Color Palette
Robins-Egg Blue
You can’t go wrong with a soft blue in your home. In fact, this blue is so soft and welcoming that it would go great in ANY room of your home. Pair with off-whites and funky patterns. Find this (and more color palette ideas) by reading my post dedicated to Seaside Paint Palettes.
Mix it up a little bit with a bright color combination in Navy blue and coral. Use navy as the main hue because coral works great for accessories and other small pieces of home decor.
Coastal Home Decor: Beach Inspired
Display Your Driftwood
Got a rad piece of driftwood that you found on the beach? Did you know that you can truly make TONS of different home decor items with it? It’s true. This post of mine will help you clean and preserve your driftwood, and this post of mine will tell you how to decorate with it once it is clean.
Go All-Out With Sea Glass
Speaking of beach-inspired home decor ideas, you can do a lot with small pieces of sea glass, as well. HOWEVER. I’m morally obligated to tell you that you shouldn’t collect seashells and sea glass off the beach. Pick up a faux option from the craft store instead. And then check out this great post of mine that shows you all of the ways you can use it in your home.
Coastal Home Decor: DIY
Coastal Trashcan
Turn any trashcan in your home into something a little more fit for the coast by redoing your trashcans. It’s pretty simple. Just pick up some twine rope and hot glue. Start by attaching the end of the rope to the trash can with the hot glue, tightly winding it completely around the can until it is all the way covered. Finish it off by hot gluing the end of the rope to the trashcan. Find this and other coastal DIYs on this post of mine.
