When we are bored, we always turn to one thing: coastal crafts. When you live on the beach, you have access to a wide variety of unique craft supplies. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve used seaweed, or just a few pebbles found along the beach. If you’re feeling bored, try one of these fun coastal crafts for the home!
This blogger took reclaimed wood and transformed it an adorable piece of home decor. This craft is a bit more advanced, but you can have your kiddos help you with the starfish accent if they are feeling left out!
This is one of my favorite coastal crafts because I simply cannot believe what it started out as! Formerly an old ice fishing bucket, a few coats of paint turn it coastal and cute. This blogger hung it in her bathroom!
Send your kids down to the beach to collect seashells! If you’d rather keep the beach as-is, or, if you don’t live by one, Michaels has a great selection of fake seashells! Basic craft sticks, glued together are the super easy backdrop. Have kids make their own for a fun craft as well!
You’ll need a stencil for this coastal craft, and some pretty find taping skills, but in just two coats of paint, this wall art craft could be yours!
The background of this coastal wall art–otherwise known as “cane” is one of the first things I think of when I hear “coastal home decor.” Use nothing but hot glue to hold everything together!
Weathered, pastel colors look like something you would find on a beach shack somewhere. This blogger used acrylic paints to get the weathered finish like this! Hang these on your patio!
Isn’t everyone looking for a home decor piece that reminds them to stay “grounded?” Use any kind of paint (you can even use this guide for a marble finish with spray paint) you want for this coastal craft.
I’m not sure if it’s the color of this pillow, or the pattern, but it makes me feel like I’m swimming! Use a specialized tie dye method for the underwater look!
