I love planning a good holiday party or two…but I know I’m not alone when I say that I stress out over the menu…likely more than I should. It can be tricky what to feed a gaggle of guests on a budget! I’ve searched the internet…and tried these out…you simply must try one of these small-plate appetizers for your next holiday gathering.
I mean…you practically had me sold when you said “bacon wrapped.” Toothpicks do a great job of keeping your creation together while remaining party friendly.
Cheesy Shrimp and Artichoke Bread
This delicious concotion only takes 25 minutes, and it will leave you with 18 slices of cheesy goodness. Leave out the artichokes if you have picky eaters!
You guessed it…you make these in a muffin tin. Pick up olives, black beans, Velveeta, and grown beef at the store. Find the dough recipe here!
Pssst..I can tell you first hand that this dough recipe is to die for!
What makes these the greatest, you ask? Finely chopped celery and pieces of scallion. Everyone will be dying for your recipe!
Coconut And Date “Power Balls”
Not your typical party appetizer..but a delicious (and healthy!) snack nevertheless. The best part is that this recipe makes about 72 balls at a time!
I love cooking with seasonal veggies, so it’s pretty safe to say that we eat a lot of squash come fall and winter! This squash tart isn’t exactly one of the easiest to make, but this recipe is a favorite of mine particualrily for the delicious jalapeno infusion!
This is like the uber cool version of the classic veggie tray. Use cream cheese, dried parsley, dried dill, garlic powder, and onion powder to make your own ranch. This is how you will want to eat your veggies all the time.
Latkes are a personal favorite of mine, and I’ve been craving them since I spotted these beauties! You can use regular potatoes, but I think a sweet potato gives the dish a lovely color. Use green onions to season, and seasoned sour cream as your dip. Delish!
Grab a roll of Pillsbury dough and flatten then into the base of a muffin tin. Scoop your homemade Mac N Cheese (with bacon) into your muffin tin and bake for 16 minutes. Isn’t your mouth watering?
Ahh…two of my favorite cheeses jam packed into one seriously delicious snack. Plus, they’re fried! I don’t think there’s anything much better than this combo…
Get all that warm delicious cornbread tastiness..in a bite sized snack! Add orange and rosemary for a slightly sweeter bread, or jalepeno and cheddar for something a little more savory.
Don’t worry about prepping an artichoke for this tasty treat…you can purchase store bought artichoke hearts instead! Add parmesan cheese, olive oil, and parsley to your artichoke hearts and serve on a crostini.
