Got a pesky Leprechaun running about just in time for St. Patrick’s Day? It’s easy to catch one of those sneaky buggers, and get your kids in on the fun. They’ll be begging you to make this a tradition for years and years to come! Here’s how to catch a leprechaun.
How To Catch A Leprechaun
Because what would make better bait than Lucky Charm marshmallows? Use a stick (from outside) and a berry basket from a recent grocery trip. How’s that for a totally-free trap?
Calling all teachers! This would be a fun classroom game to celebrate the season! You’ll need to drink a LOT of soda to provide for your classroom, but with Amazon Prime, you’ll have no problem at all.
Your leprechaun will think getting this gold is easy pickin’s! Too bad he doesn’t know that he’s about to fall into an old tissue box! Make things a little easier for your little friend by giving them a ladder to climb.
A shoe box will be your bones for this idea. Kids will love to figure out ways to “trick” him into falling down the hole. A hand-colored rainbow will certainly be enticing, as well!
If you have the supplies to make your trap a little more elaborate, you may end up catching two leprechauns! That is, if they don’t help one another escape (although they always do end up escaping somehow…)
Using a leprechaun’s hat is certainly one of the most festive ways to catch one! A little tiny warning sign is just the thing to get your leprechaun right where you want him!
I’ve actually heard from multiple sources that Leprechauns happen to LOVE Skittles. Line the edge of your trap with the snack, and catch his eye with a heaping pile of gold! He could have added this gold to his stash of treasure…but once he’s trapped he will have to tell you where it’s hidden!
Your kids would love being able to use a few of their favorite toys to build their trap! Of course, provide them with cotton balls, tissue paper, and markers to complete the trap!
Now that pile of gold? That pile of gold is certainly large enough to get ANY leprechauns attention!
