I can hardly believe that we are well into the second week of February. Where on Earth has the last year gone? Before we know it, Valentines Day will be long gone and we will turn our focus to that ever lucky holiday: St. Patrick’s Day. Celebrate it with your kids with a few fun craft projects that are absolutely perfect for kids of all ages.
Wearing green to school won’t be an issue at all with a handmade St Patrick’s Day t shirt! Trace the clover with a pencil, and use the eraser to “stamp” on the t-shirt. Your kids will love to wear something they made to school!
Every sneaky leprechaun needs a green Irish hat! This one is a littler smaller than something you would want to wear on your head, but dolls and action figures alike would love to wear something so festive!
Crepe paper, cardstock and scissors are the only craft supplies needed to create this adorably lucky wall hanging. Crepe paper glued onto the cardstock is what creates a really cool “raised” paper look. I love it, do you?
Create a hat for every occassion with only a paper plate! Color it in with paint or magic markers. Your kid will love the personalized headwear for every holiday! I think hats like these definitely call for a photo op!
The end of the rainbow isn’t much further than the end of your garage! You’ll need to paint a paper plate like a rainbow, and then cut it into a spiral shape. Your pot of gold will dance in the wind and attract every one of those mischevious leprechauns!
Perfect for a preschool holiday party..have kids string colorful fruit loops on a necklace. Clover shaped name tags make the craft seem more festive, and it’s easy to keep track of things!
The cutest part of this craft project is that the edges of the clovers are home to adorable St Patrick’s day quotes! Find the printable and the instructions here.
…Somewhere…over the fruit loops…leprechauns fly! Okay, maybe not, but your kids will definitely jump for this easy (almost edible) craft project. Use fruit loops, cotton balls, and your handy dandy craft glue!
The handprints are absolutely adorable, but I think the 3D gold coins are even cuter than that! Heck, you may even catch a leprechaun just by hanging this on the front of your refrigerator!
Everyone can be lucky with this cut-out clover! You’ll need a hearty supply of craft eyes (found at Michaels) to make these crafts on a larger scale, but glue and paper are the last craft materials that you’ll need. Make sure you give your clover a festive name!
Get lucky and make one of these fun St Patrick’s Day crafts! Readers can find all of the project ideas listed in this tutorial on the following websites:
