Rio De Janeiro Beaches
Take A Photo With Christ The Redeemer
As far as I’m concerned, you can’t visit Rio without seeing the statue of Christ the Redeemer! Tickets to see the statue in person cost a mere $30 and the views experienced from the mountaintop are well-worth the price of admission. Enjoying these views is the best way to see the sights! Visitors usually spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour enjoying this location.
Jardim Botanical Gardens
The Jardim Botanical Gardens is one of the largest botanical gardens in all of South America. The botanical gardens house many different varieties of palm trees, regular trees, and other plants. Guests can get lost wandering between the tall palm trees or sniffing the exotic flowers. Jardim Botanical Gardens is a must-see!
Sugarloaf Mountain
Located at the mouth of Guanabara Bay, Sugarloaf Mountain is a small rock formation. This attraction is one of the most visited places in all of Brazil! Visitors can take a tram ride to the peak while enjoy the views of the surrounding wildlife and beaches. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
Arpoador Beach
Located on the south side of the city, Arpoador Beach is known as the birthplace of surfing in Brazil. And for good reason, too! If you’re not a surfer, you can enjoy the beach. White sandy beaches are never bad.
Copacabana Beach
Copacabana, located it the south-city, is one of the most visited destinations in Rio for New Years Eve festivities. The beach is perfect for sunbathers, swimmers, or sightseers. Need a break from the beach? there’s plenty to do with other great restaurants and shopping in the area.
Bike Tour
One of the best ways to see most of the city is doing your exploration by foot or bike! For a memorable guided bike tour around Rio visit Rio by Bike Tours.
Don’t Forget To Eat!
Who doesn’t love to eat while on vacation? The food in Rio won’t disappoint! Be sure to visit Org Bistro, Cachambeer, or Adeg Perola for some of the best local food. Your taste buds will love you.
