Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could go on a monthly vacation to the beach destination of your choice? I can think of five destinations that I’m just dying to visit. If only they weren’t so expensive! However, I know of multiple beach destinations that are surprisingly affordable! Maybe, just maybe, if we plan correctly and work super hard, we could plan a trip to these beautiful destinations at least once a season. Ready, set, let’s start saving!
Thailand
Though the flights out might be a bit pricey for some, it’s definitely well worth it. Touting crystal clear waters, lush acreage of rainforest, and tons of amazing things to do, everyone will have fun here. You won’t want to come home after indulging in all of the incredible food, either. Stay at the Four Seasons, it’s affordable AND gorgeous.
Bali
Located near Thailand, Bali has a history of being one of the most relaxing destinations in the world to visit. But not only are the beaches absolutely gorgeous and the yoga classes life-changing, but this destination is CHEAP. Depending on where you stay, lodging can cost a mere $50 a night while the average meal goes for about $3-5.
Cannon Beach, Oregon
I have several family members that live in Oregon, so we try to get out and visit whenever possible. We save tons of money by staying with family members and indulging in the “free” activities found on the beach and around town. Even if you don’t have family to stay with, hotels can be found pretty cheap wherever you look. While in Cannon Beach, go on a quick little road trip to Crater Lake for a different kind of beach trip. You won’t regret it!
Mexico
Depending on the area of the country that you head out to, you could be in store for a very inexpensive vacation. Cabo, Isla Mujeres, and sometimes even Cancun (depending on the time of the year) can be super affordable for those on the tightest budgets. You can save even more money if you avoid the touristy eateries, and opt for the local spots instead. Look for flights to Mexico on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to save the most money!
Moorea, French Polynesia
Head to French Polynesia for some of the most gorgeous snorkeling in all of the Pacific. The crystal clear waters make it easy to admire the miles of stunning coral reefs or go for a swim. The waters are even calm enough for even the most novice paddleboarder to enjoy a ride or two. Again, the cost of the flight is often the most expensive part of traveling to French Polynesia, but you’ll forget about that just as soon as you smell the island breeze.
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
The conversion rate of USD to Pesos is absolutely insane as is, so you can head to the DR without spending a ton of extra money. The Dominican Republic is perfect for both night owls AND nature-lovers because it’s full of wonderful hiking trails and has a hoppin’ night scene. Stay at the Occidental Resort for some of the best rates around.
