Though our wedding was simply magical, my husband and I agree that we had way more fun on our honeymoon. It was nice to let loose and celebrate the fact that we were FINALLY married. Especially after months of all the planning stress! We headed to Santorini for our honeymoon, where will you set out? Take a look at the honeymoon destinations below if you are stumped.
Honeymoon Destinations
Bora Bora
Perfect for couples looking for an incredible beach retreat, Bora Bora is its own kind of amazing. Equipped with crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and even a rugged mountain range, you’ll come home with plenty of wonderful photographs. Stay at the Four Seasons, they have special honeymoon packages and the resort is located on a coral reef. You won’t have to go far to snorkel at all!
Bali
Head to Bali to start your marriage off on the right foot! With a rich arts scene, tons of beautiful temples, and even a few gorgeous mountain ranges, Bali is the perfect destination for couples looking to “Eat, Pray, and Love.” For a romantic evening, plan a trip to the top of the Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple. You won’t forget this beautiful sunset!
Bayeux
I visited the small town of Bayeux, France during a trip to Europe in October of last year. Though we were only able to stay in Bayeux for a few days, my husband and I immediately fell in love with the quaint town. Located near the U.S. Cemetery at Normandy, the town of Bayeux is small and nestled amongst French farmland. We stayed in a farmhouse just fifteen minutes outside of the city center, and spent hours wandering the grounds. It was such a romantic experience and I am so eager to go back! Don’t forget to visit the famous Bayeux tapestry while you’re here!
Praiano

Sonoma
Looking for a romantic stateside destination? Look no further than Sonoma, California. Nestled in wine country with perpetually perfect weather, guests can enjoy wine, good food, and gorgeous scenery with a honeymoon spent here. I recommend staying at Forestville’s Farmhouse Inn, where guests have access to special wineries not usually available to the public.
Cayman Islands
Home to some of the most gorgeous beaches on this side of the Pacific, the Cayman Islands are another great honeymoon destination for those looking for something a little closer to home. Head to Little Cayman (it’s the smallest and most undeveloped island) for tons of fun away from the stresses of daily life. You can even rent a boat and travel between the islands if that sounds like your kind of fun.
