For years, my family has spent the Christmas holiday away on vacation. Once you spend a holiday at the beach, you’ll never want to be at home in the cold again! We are headed to Turks and Caicos this year, and our extended family is all heading out with us. It should really be so much fun! If you’re looking to spend Christmas in the sun this year, why not think celebrate Christmas on these beaches. They’re the hottest travel destinations of the year!
Celebrate Christmas On These Beaches Voted Best Holiday Beach Escapes
Trunk Bay, US Virgin Islands
Not only is the water gorgeous in Trunk Bay, but the sand is some of the softest in the entire world. Temperatures in this region hover around 80 degrees, so you are bound to come home with an incredible tan. There’s even beautiful snorkeling in the area, so your Christmas will be dotted with colorful marine wildlife rather than holiday lights. I think I prefer the marine wildlife, honestly. You’ll never want to spend Christmas anywhere other than Trunk Bay!
Grace Beach Bay, Turks and Caicos
I can’t wait to head to Grace Beach Bay during our holiday trip to Turks and Caicos. With both pink and white sand dotting the shorelines, you can find a picturesque location for photos anywhere along the beach. Turks and Caicos are known for being home to some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world, and their average temp of 80 degrees is sure to make even the grumpiest travelers thrilled.
Laguna Beach, California
You don’t need to get on a long airplane ride across the ocean when traveling to Laguna Beach. This southern California location is home to many celebrities, surfers, and adventure-seekers. With temps hovering in the 70s around the holidays, it might be a little chilly for sunbathing. But with 8 miles of explorable beaches, there’s still plenty to do. While you’re here, see if you can spot Lauren Conrad’s parent’s house!
Pink Sands Beach, Bahamas
Ditch the crowds to spend the holiday on Pink Sand Beach. Pink Sand Beach is located on the smaller island of Harbour Island and can be reached by way of a ferry. Harbour Island is a lot less chaotic than some of the other destinations in the Bahamas, and you’ll likely appreciate a nice relaxing Christmas Day. Be sure to bring snorkeling gear, as there is a gorgeous coral reef to explore just off the beach. You’ll never forget this Christmas!
Smathers Beach, Key West
Another gorgeous beach not too far from mainland USA, Smathers Beach is a perfect destination for holiday fun. Though many of the Key’s beaches are destroyed with hurricane season, they ship in sand from the Caribbean to rebuild after the season has ended. Head to the area in late December for lush beaches, calm waters, and tons of fun. I hope your family can celebrate Christmas on these beaches for the best Christmas ever!
