I’m definitely an advocate of this DIY sunscreen recipe! It’s so important that we remember to lather up before we head outside! If you’re like me, and you love sunscreen, but hate not knowing what kind of chemicals are in said sunscreen, make your own instead. This is my very favorite DIY spray sunscreen recipe! Make sure that you keep your all natural sunscreen refrigerated if it contains fresh aloe gel.
Pick up these items to make yourself some DIY sunscreen:
–1/4 cup of aloe vera gel (make your own with my recipe!)
–1 teaspoon of carrier oil
-20 drops of chamomile, frankincense, or geranium essential oil
Warning: This all natural sunscreen recipe, is not for individuals with extremely fair skin.
All you have to do when making this DIY sunscreen is combine all of your ingredients together in one small spray bottle. Users will want to shake it well before use.
Make sure that citrus essential oils aren’t used when making your sunscreen, as they could end up causing a sunburn.
Before exposing your skin to long periods of sun exposure, test your DIY sunscreen out, first!
