My kids are super excited to throw a Halloween party for their friends this October. The idea was originally proposed last November, and my kiddos have been eagerly awaiting! In fact, they’ve already begun party planning. They may be a little ahead of the game, but they’ve inspired me to start looking up party ideas as well! I’m loving these fun ideas for a kid’s Halloween party!
Postrists has a fun party game that is sure to please all of your party guests! Blow up balloons and attach them to a piece of cardboard. Shape them into a pumpkin (or other!) fall themed shape. Guests must pop the balloons to earn a prize.
A spooky Halloween party wouldn’t be complete without some seriously terrifying decorations! Use paper lanterns as the base, and decorate each and every one of them with a hat or other Halloween themed accessories. Find more on Pinterest.
Have the guests of your party dress up in Halloween costumes. In true party nature, the guest with the best costume will receive a prize. There’s a reason why costume parties are always such a hit!
Send the kiddos home with something spooky to eat! These candied apples from 1 Fine Cookie look absolutely horrifying, but they make for an incredible snack! You could even give these to your neighbors for a little Halloween treat, they’ll love it!
If the idea of making tons of different candied apples “scares” you, send your guests home with candy-filled pillow boxes instead! Fill them with Reeses Pieces, MnMs, or other small candy teats. What a delicious idea from Tony Astaab.
A healthy tangerine treat is created using tangerines and a Sharpie, Draw “pumpkin” faces on small tangerines and hand them out as party favors or snacks. Idea from Fresh Design Pedia.
Another healthy Halloween treat idea is to use sliced green apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows. Spread peanut butter on the inside of an apple slice, and use marshmallows as “teeth.” I might be too scared to eat these healthy snacks! From Fresh Design Pedia.
Every Halloween party needs a bunch of fun games! Check out this post from Half Pint Peeps on group games perfect for kids. I’m sure you’ll find something great for Halloween!
If group games aren’t really your thing, set up this “corn hole” game from Craft River. Use pumpkins as the “holes” and sewn bean bags to toss. Craft River has the full DIY project.
