Even if you don’t live on the beach, you can definitely bring some coastal into your home decor. Whether you buy these ideas, or DIY them, you can’t miss a few of my favorite coastal home decor ideas! Scroll to the end of the post (or click on the images) to see where I got my inspiration for this project from.
You can purchase this item online, or you can recreate it yourself with a white shadowbox, starfish and a little bit of paint! Once fully dry, mount your starfish where they belong with a little bit of hot glue.
It might be a little difficult to weave around a candle holder like this DIY blogger did. If this part of the project is intimidating, you can purchase a woven candle holder here. After you have the candle holder complete, add little embellishments like seashells and a tea light.
Use recycled twigs from your front yard (or a local nursery) to make yourself this homemade wreath. Use hot glue to add the seashell, sea glass, and other sea-related accent pieces. I love this look of this whole display. I can’t imagine how incredible that candle must smell!
This is one of my favorite ideas on the list, because the garland and the pallet wood backdrop made this blogger’s mantlepiece look absolutely gorgeous! Use twine to attach found (or bought) seashells, seaglass and starfish to a piece of natural rope. Hang it above, or on your mantle! This is perfect for summer and every season in between.
You’d be amazed at how much you can improve the look of a space with just a few throw pillows. Add nautical striped pillows (both horizontal and vertical) to your white linen couch for a little coastal love. Use the space above your couch to display any of your favorite vacation photos!
Purchase wooden letters from Michaels and decorate them with Mod Podge and seashells.
Make your space look bigger (and more coastal!) with a DIY planked mirror. But while you’re here, take a peek at the navy blue striped vase in the corner. I want to order ten!
You won’t have to buy anything from a craft store to make these coastal decor pieces. Use a mason jar from your stash (who else has one?!) and decorate it with twine, seashells, and fill it with pieces of found driftwood.
