I feel like every family needs a message board. I didn’t have one until just recently, but it changed my life the moment my husband and I installed it! It’s nice that everyone has a place to remind other family members of important dates and leave a cute note or two. Create a chalkboard, paint yourself a whiteboard, or keep things simple with a good ole’ cork board. The options are endless, what will you choose?
A repurposed mirror does wonders for organization. Here, each family member has their own square, or at least a different texture to leave notes on. Find a vintage window frame at thrift stores or consignment sales.
Create a gigantic chalkboard to use as a menu, memo board, or both! Heck, I’m sure it would even make a great chore chart from time to time….;)
If rustic home is your cup of tea, you can’t go wrong with this rustic memo board. With a tiny chalkboard, you can easily communicate simple reminders to your family members. Add a few hooks on the bottom for keys!
Only got a few minutes over nap time to whip something up? This easy memo board can be made in a jiff! You can’t see it in this image..but there are adorable clipboard clips to keep important documents where you’ll remember them!
I made something similar to this for my craft room not too long ago! Cover a medium sized easel with fabric, contact paper, or wallpaper. String ribbon in a “zig zag” pattern to hold memos and important notes.
This beautiful wall hanging is actually featured in a nursery, but I think a few tweaks and tips could make this perfect for a laundry room or kitchen. Take a peek at how they used twine as a “clothesline” to hang up cards and other items.
This project is a little more intense, but the end results are incredibly worth it! Frame a magnetic board and cover it with your choice of fabric (the choice in fabric here makes it really country appropriate!)
This is another memo board that farmhouse lovers will adore! The frame of the message board is made from cut pallet boards and backed with a sheet of chicken wire. Attach notes with clipboard hooks or clothespins. You can even stain the wood if you desire!
Would you believe that this beautiful message board came from a window in an old home in San Francisco? This DIYer painted the frame with a coat of chalk paint and hot glue some clips onto the board. If your backing is glass, it can be used as a whiteboard, as well!
