If you don’t know about Furore already, you aren’t alone! It’s one of the worlds best-hidden gems! Still confused? No worries! I’m here to help. Furore is a small town located off the coast of Italy. A small, gorgeous fishing town right on the water. Not only are the waters an impressive shade of crystal clear blue, but the beaches provide for wonderful photo ops, and you may even recognize one of their most picturesque. If you haven’t already, consider planning your next trip to Furore, Italy. You won’t ever want to leave! Hurry fast…before the secret gets out and the beaches get crowded!
My sister and her now-husband recently tied the knot and set off to celebrate their marriage in Furore. Though I’ve never been (we are trying to plan a trip later this year. Hopefully, it works out for us!) my sister gave me the inside scoop on what it’s like to travel to the coastal town. Here’s what she said!
Where To Stay
My sister and her beau stayed at the Hotel Bacco. Located right on the water, she said it was easy to get swept away in the gorgeous Mediterranean water views. The hotel is located right in the village of Furore, so guests can easily explore the area without much difficulty. According to my sister, one must absolutely try a glass of the hotel’s homemade wine. She said it was one of the highlights of her trip!
What To Do In Furore
Aside from taking in all of the gorgeous views, my sister recommended heading down to Grotta dello Smeraldo. The Grotta is a partially-filled sea cave that guests can explore in a boat tour. She said the stalagmites were awesome! If you’re looking to frolic in the ocean (and honestly, who isn’t?) she recommended heading to one of the island’s beaches. Via Marina di Praia beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of the world, and you may recognize it from a famous photo or two. Get here early…the beach is small and fills up fast! Most tourists don’t even know this hidden beach exists! There are other beaches in the area too, check out the Arienzo Beach and Fornillio Beach. But if you really like wine, she says that you absolutely must check out Cantine Marisa Cuomo. Not only is their wine absolutely to-die-for, but once you see the way their grape vines look out over the water, you’ll never want to go back to life at home! Find out more about the winery here.
Where To Eat
My sister said that the town was absolutely teeming with small, delicious places to eat. While she and her husband spent most breakfasts at the hotel, she would recommend going to Trattoria Da Armandino for absolutely delicious local seafood, Hostaria di Bacco for dinner with a sunset view (this books fast, though), and Ristorante Euroconca for some of the best homemade pasta in Italy.
