I’ve done a lot of traveling over the last year. I’ve gotten to explore Europe with my husband, gotten to relax at the beach in Hawaii over Christmas, and we spent the summer canvassing our local national parks. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that there are several items you just DON’T leave home without when you travel! If you’re headed on a trip soon, make sure that these items are on your packing list…you’ll regret it if you don’t!
A Hanging Toiletry Bag
Seriously. This is necessary for any traveler. A hanging toiletry bag will help keep your toiletries organized in shared bathrooms. With a hanging bag, you can easily transport your goods from the bedroom to the bathroom, and you can hang it on the towel rack to find exactly what is needed. I like this one from L.L. Bean.
Sunscreen
It doesn’t matter where you’re going, sunscreen is always necessary! Make sure that you always pack a small tube of sunscreen because everyone knows that having a sunburn is a great way to ruin a vacation.
A Travel Pillow
I will NOT fly without a travel pillow. I used to mock the people that did travel with one, but as soon as I tried it I was hooked. A travel pillow is seriously life altering! Start your vacation off right by staying comfortable on the airplane and invest in a great memory foam pillow. You won’t regret it!
Headphones
No matter where you are going, a pair of quality headphones will always come in handy on vacation. Pack them to use on the airplane, on the beach, or working out in the hotel gym. Headphones are also great if you just want a little break from the chaos of a family vacation. My go-to travel headphones are these ones made by Bose.
A Chord Organizer
While on vacation in Hawaii my husband whipped out this impressive chord organizer that keeps every chord he knows tangle free and totally organized. I was immediately jealous and needed one of my own! He later gifted one to me, and it has revolutionized the way I pack my carry on. Say goodbye to untangling unnecessary chords! Find it here.
On The Go Laundry Detergent
You should always bring a bottle of on-the-go laundry detergent along with you on vacation. After all, you never know when you’re going to need it. I like to pack this kind of on-the-go detergent.
A Portable Hotspot
Traveling for business? Don’t forget to pack a portable hotspot. While our phones are capable of acting as a portable hotspot, I like to use one that is a bit more powerful. Contact your wireless service provider to see what your options are today!
