Fautaua Waterfall
Tahiti does have a rainy season (it occurs November through April) and it’s the perfect time to visit the Fautaua Waterfall. You may want the help of a guide to find this fall, as it can be hard to find the falls. Bring bug spray, as well!
Off Road Trip
For $102 per person, you can go on a full-day off road adventure that takes you through the jungle of Tahiti. You may even be able to find the previously mentioned waterfall..depending on your tour company!
Moorea
Moorea is actually Tahiti’s sister island, but it’s one that cannot be missed! That crazy mountain in the background is literally known as “Crazy Mountain.” Travelers can take an ATV tour if you want to see the crazy jungle of Moorea. Visitors can take the fairy (usually about $28) back and forth to Moorea.
James Norman Hall Home
James Norman Hall was a World War 1 army pilot. He later collaborated with Charles Nordhoff and the duo began writing novels together. Several were even worked on in this house! This museum is a must see for any aspiring writer.
Surfing
Tahiti has two surf seasons, making it the best place for pro surfers, and beginners to hang out. Tourists can take a surf lesson at almost any beach, and you may even get to see a professional out there on the water. Check out Tama He’e surf school for lessons!
La Plage de Maui
Ranked as the best thing to do on the island of Tahiti, the island is a result of a volcanic eruption and boasts warm water and white sandy beaches. The lagoon around the beach is warm (and shower) which is perfect for snorkeling!
