Normandy, France

Though it’s hardly a city, the small town of Normandy, France is rich in World War II history and full of stunning beaches. Guests can stay a few miles inland, along the countryside and then commute a few minutes to the beach when in search of the sun. You’ll love this retreat to a small village!

Brighton, England

A bustling city on the coast of the United Kingdom, Brighton, England is the ideal beach location for writers and other folks looking to truly get away from it all. Go shopping on the iconic boardwalk after lounging in colorful beach chairs getting lost in a book. I guarantee you’ll never want to come home.

San Sebastian, Spain

A tiny resort town on the Bay of Biscay, San Sebastian is one of the hottest beachside locations in all of Spain. Not only can you get a killer tan while lounging on the beaches, but tourists can indulge in the local fare while taking in the grand architecture to truly get a sense of the Spanish culture. Kas, Turkey

There’s something special about places along the Mediterranean and Kas is no different. With a population of just 54,000 people, this small town could hardly be considered bustling, but it’s so beautiful that you won’t even miss it. Kas has a unique history, as it’s landscape was so gorgeous that both the Greeks and the Romans fought over it. And it’s easy to see why.
