I’m in love with all of my coastal home decor, but I can’t be the only one who struggles occasionally when decorating for Fall. Sometimes it seems like holidays aren’t suited for the coastal home! WAIT! Did I just type that? Of course holidays are meant for the coastal home, even if it’s a little more difficult to make happen. Here are my favorite coastal decor ideas!
Coastal Decor Ideas
From Sand and Sisal, she uses a white throw pillow with gold accents as the “autumn” in this space. I’m also a huge fan of plaid for all things fall, and the blue plaid throw here is both a nod to the coastal home AND fall decor!
Use a piece of coral as a centerpiece for your fall decor. Blue velvet pumpkins create an interesting centerpiece when paired with a whitewashed piece of coral. This is a DIY that brings the outside in!
Naturally, you’ll need to learn how to whitewash a pumpkin in order to add it to your coastal home decor! See how to whitewash your own over at Picky Stitch. Use them anywhere that needs a little fall lovin’.
In another cute DIY from Sand and Sisal, you can create your own texture pumpkins that look like they came straight out of the ocean. (Check out the coral detailing on that pumpkin in back, adorable!)
Of course, when decorating for Fall in a coastal home, I think that the usage of blue and turquoise shades keep things coastal, while nodding to the holidays. A table like this would be perfect for Thanksgiving, and the multi colored pumpkins make a powerful statement as a centerpiece. See more like this on Pinterest.
Velvet pumpkins not your thing? I get it! It’s an odd texture to work with! Instead, fill your coral bowl with whitewashed pumpkins of different shapes. Paint their stems gold for even more flair!
Remember when I told you that whitewashed pumpkins were a MUST when decorating for Fall? Take it up a notch, and hold them in a stained frame like the one below. The pillows in the background are a little more country rather than coastal, but you could change those out to meet your personal style standards! Home Brunch.
Gold accents are your best friend in a coastal home, and so is an epic garland! Make a fall garland out of pieces of driftwood for a DIY that is sure to impress your friends. Another cute idea from Sand and Sisal.
Mod Podge and scrap book paper are your best friends when it comes to these coastal crafts! Learn how to make them for yourself at Crafts By Courtney.
