I was a renter for the entirety of my college career! Who could beat low living wages as a student? Isn’t the first taste of freedom nice? It can be difficult to make your rented space look like “you” when adhering to the rules of your lease. Fortunately, I scoured the internet (and even my brain!)  for 8 items that are completely renter friendly!

Decorate the surface of your small appliances with this removable covering from Amazon. It’s an incredibly easy way to add color and pattern to your kitchen without breaking the lease requirements! I’m in love!

There’s something about a kitchen that either makes or breaks a space. Do you feel less than in love with your kitchen decor? No worry, liven things up with a stick-able backsplash from Etsy. Peel and stick tile is relatively cheap, and they definitely withstand the test of time!

You’ll be amazed at the difference this peel-and-stick wallpaper makes to any living space. This product is great for renters because it adds a touch of personality, but is SUPER easy to remove. It doesn’t even leave any kind of residue! Find it here starting at $75.

Sometimes it’s hard to schedule and plan for all of the events life throws at you..and there’s no better way to plan ahead than with this renter-friendly DIY project from Ferm Living.

One of the things I dreaded most about living in a rental was that I couldn’t paint the walls of my bedroom! It’s a major bummer when you can’t make the walls of your bedroom look like..well…you. You won’t have to paint your entire wall for some personalization when you use these picture and mirror decor decals.

Who knows how many people have stashed their cooking utensils in the drawers of your kitchen over the years? Line the inside of your drawers with peel and stick paper from Chic Shelf Paper. They have a ton of different design patterns perfect for any kind of renter!

Did you know that peel and stick floor tiles are actually a thing? You bet they are! And you won’t believe how much they improve the look of your rented space. These tiles are easily removable, and won’t leave any kind of residue behind. Find this and other peel and stick flooring options at Apartment Therapy.
