Easy Pebble Art Crafts for Kids

May 15, 2018 by Brittney Jacobson Leave a Comment

It doesn’t matter if you live on the beach or by the river, pebbles are probably a naturally forming occurance wherever you hang up your boots. My kids love to make pebble art DIY crafts with the rocks they’ve collected across the beach, and I love their passion for crafting! If you too are interested in pebble art, here are a few of my kid’s favorite projects!

This pebble art craft is so adorable that I would make it into a wall decor piece! Your kids will probably need a stencil of sort to get the shaping right, and maybe some help with the hot glue gun!

Make a self portrait out of rocks! Markers from Michaels might be needed to personalize your art project, though! Craft glue (or even Elmer’s) is often enough to keep these pebbles secure.

Kids can use pebbles to create their very own nature scene. Use sticks from around the garden to make the scene look complete!

More of a young adult craft as opposed to a craft for kids, but an adorable one nevertheless. Garden items make the scene complete as the lush trees and a stick makes for a great “log.” This just LOOKS tranquil.

Didn’t we all have a pet rock at some point in our childhood? It’s time to pass that experience on! Give your kiddos some acrylic paint and let them have at it!

At first glance I thought these kind of looked like they were made out of potatoes..but then I remembered this was pebble art. 😉 A little hot glue can turn a few pebbles into life like (ish) pets. Don’t forget the finishing touches like the ears and tail!

I’m not sure what on Earth you could do with all of these strawberries, but they too cute not to make! Make other fruits like tomatoes or grapes as well to add to a kitchen set for kids.

If your kids like owls, but the last owl craft was a little too time intensive, try this one instead! These large pebbles are painted a base color and then detailed with markers. It would be awesome to see what kind of zany designs the kids create!
