You’ll need (1) cup baking soda, (1) cup lemon juice or vinegar and some boiling water.
First, make sure water is drained from tub or sink and remove any drain plugs. Then, pour the boiling water down the drain.
Next pour baking soda down drain. I recommend using a funnel, it’ll be easier, and it help to prevent any baking soda waste!
Next slowly pour in the lemon juice, then cover the drain with a cloth. You should begin to hear some fizzing. This is a good sign! It means the mixture is working effectively.
Leave the cloth over the drain, or leave the drain plugged for 30 minutes.
Finally, after 30 minutes, uncover the drain and very slowly pour more boiling water down to flush the clog out once and for all. No need to call a plummer!
