Why You Should Visit Cape Cod

July 24, 2019 by Brittney Jacobson Leave a Comment

If you haven’t ever visited beautiful Cape Cod, you should add it to your list of places to travel just as soon as you possibly can. Not only does this gorgeous beach town have tons of gorgeous hiking trails and pathways, but it has incredible whale-watching opportunities, too! But that isn’t all. Here are a few other reasons why you should visit Cape Cod.

Why You Should Visit Cape Cod

Top-Rated Beaches
It’s no surprise that this gorgeous Massachusetts town has tons of beautiful beaches! In fact, several of the beaches in the area have been listed as some of the most beautiful in the entire nation. Check out the beaches in the Nantucket Sound for warmer swimming waters.
Great Main-Street Attractions
One of the most charming things about Cape Cod is its classic main street. You can go shopping, you can go for ice cream, and there are even small little activities like Go Karts or Bowling in the area. There’s something for everyone on Main Street, and I can bet that you will visit here more than once during your trip.

Beautiful Lighthouses
If you love the historical appeal of old lighthouses, a trip to Cape Cod would be the absolute perfect thing for you! Climb the winding steps of the dozens of lighthouses dotting the coast and immerse yourself in the history of these locations. Wouldn’t it be scary to live alone on one of those as the old lighthouse keepers used to?
Tons of Swimming Holes
Take a break from the salty ocean water with a dip in one of the many freshwater swimming pools in the area. I recommend visiting Cliff Pond in Nickerson State Park for a lovely afternoon away from it all. Plus, it really is a nice switch from all of the harsh sand, sun, and salt realities of the beach! Your skin will love getting wet in the freshwater.
One Of The Last Drive-In Movie Theaters
If you are longing for the nostalgic drive-in movies of your childhood, head to Cape Cod to visit one of the last in operation. Indulge in the classic movie theater snacks while listening to the movies play through drive-in speakers that actually still work.
